Your Role
As a Remote Tax Consultant, you will play a crucial role in inspiring clients to make confident decisions regarding their lives and finances. Build lasting relationships with clients as you provide expert tax support tailored to their diverse needs.
Key Qualifications
It would be advantageous if you possess:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Proven experience in preparing complex tax returns
- A minimum of 5 years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax
- Experience in conducting virtual tax consultations that instill client confidence
- Knowledge in tax planning and audit support
- Experience in sales and/or marketing
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Conduct virtual tax interviews and assist clients using our online tools
- Drive business growth, increase client retention, and suggest additional products and services
- Engage actively with team members and leaders to ensure seamless remote collaboration
- Continuously enhance your tax expertise
Your Skills
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience in completing individual tax returns
- A fast-paced working style
- Reliable high-speed internet access
- Proficiency in technology, especially MS Teams and Outlook
- Strong communication skills to convey complex tax matters effectively
- Excellent customer service techniques
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or higher
- Willingness to meet continuing education requirements and comply with IRS and state laws
- Availability for at least 20 hours a week during peak tax season
- Research skills to utilize various tax tools and publications

Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $11.00 - $80.00 per hour, in accordance with local minimum wage laws. Pay will be determined based on factors such as experience and skill level.
