Interim Director of Perioperative Services

HCT is seeking a skilled and dedicated nursing professional to take on the role of Interim Director of Perioperative Services. This position offers an opportunity to lead and enhance patient care within our perioperative departments.
- Provide operational and nursing leadership, ensuring exceptional quality of care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative areas.
- Act as a resource for staff while delivering patient care and ensuring all patient needs are met in the department.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other disciplines, coordinating unit activities and staffing plans while addressing departmental challenges.
- Evaluate the quality of care delivered, contributing to staff mentoring and assessment, performance management, and the smooth functioning of daily operations within the unit.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Experience: 5+ years of recent management experience in perioperative services; proficient in prioritizing department needs, and adept at organizing diverse and changing variables; excellent communication, diplomacy, managerial judgment, and analytical skills.
- License: California RN license required.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS.
- Computer Skills: Familiarity with information systems (EPIC) and Microsoft Office suite.
