We are looking for a passionate Full Stack Software Engineering Manager, eager to lead significant transformations within Capital One.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of technology projects, guiding a team of skilled developers in creating solutions that address regulatory requirements.

  • Stay ahead of emerging tech trends by experimenting and learning new technologies, while mentoring other engineers in the community.

  • Work closely with product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journeys.

  • Utilize programming languages and tools such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, open-source databases, container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and a suite of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • A minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience (internship experience not included).

  • At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in at least one programming language: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.

  • 3+ years working with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

  • 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.

  • 5+ years in people management roles.

  • 2+ years of experience implementing Agile practices.

  • 3+ years experience with Test Automation.

  • 3+ years of experience with API service architecture using tools like Spring Boot, Java, and various testing frameworks.

Work Location: This role could be based in Houston, TX; McLean, VA; or Riverwoods, IL.

The annual salary for this role is competitive, with salaries varying by location. In Houston, TX, expect a range of $175,800 - $200,700; in McLean, VA, $193,400 - $220,700; and in Riverwoods, IL, $175,800 - $200,700.
