As a member of our Engineering team, you will closely collaborate with clients to transform intricate business requirements into innovative digital products. Your role may span various projects, and regardless of whether you are a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, or DevOps Engineer, you will work with remote teams and leverage advanced technologies to create secure and high-performance applications. Our engineers take pride in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that address real-world challenges.

Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer at Nearform, you will primarily focus on designing and building applications. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of components while ensuring personal technical quality standards within the project team.
• Assisting in defining structured practices, particularly in source code management, building, and deployment.
• Designing and implementing efficient data storage solutions.
• Optimizing application performance for speed and scalability.
• Gathering feedback from users and clients to inform solution development.
• Assisting in analyzing client requirements.
• Collaborating with Technical Leaders for effective project execution and timely delivery.
• Engaging with client teams to drive effective collaboration.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 6 years' experience in a Senior Engineer role, demonstrating significant contributions at this level.
• Proficient in Neo4J with a strong background in delivering database solutions.
• Hands-on experience working in an agile environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver real-world solutions effectively.
• Deep knowledge of Python or JavaScript programming languages.
• Comprehensive understanding of version control tools, particularly Git.
• Experience in testing, familiar with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Proven experience working with databases and cloud environments.
• Familiar with automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment processes.
• A track record of collaborative software development utilizing pull requests and code reviews.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with professional proficiency in English.

Our Interview Process

1. Talent Call: (30 mins via Zoom) Initial conversation to discuss your background, experience, and career goals, plus an overview of Nearform.
2. Technical Assessment: (1 hour via Zoom) A live coding challenge to showcase your Python expertise and coding best practices.
3. Hiring Manager Interview: (45 mins via Zoom) Discussion with a Hiring Manager about teamwork, client collaboration, and problem-solving in enterprise settings.

Additional interviews with clients may occur depending on the project.
