Description - Your Role Awaits
- Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-adhering to standardized procedures.
- Verify results for correctness, troubleshoot any issues, and carry out preventative maintenance as well as calibration of lab equipment.
- Participate in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing when required.
- Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new hires or students, and help maintain quality standards within the lab.
- Ensure a tidy, safe working environment and comply with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree in preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
- Maintain ongoing certification throughout your career.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication to facilitate effective teamwork with healthcare professionals.
