About the Role:

As a Building Maintenance Technician at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of small to medium-sized buildings along with their industrial systems and equipment. You will be involved in various engineering and technical services, providing essential support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other essential building systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections to diagnose potential issues and implement necessary repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of various building systems and equipment.
  • Review and manage assigned work orders while tracking their completion using available systems.
  • Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all systems operate efficiently.
  • Inspect current installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Apply existing procedures to resolve straightforward problems and communicate information clearly.
  • Contribute to team goals through defined tasks and responsibilities.
  • Adhere to established procedures and processes, operating under close supervision.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will also be considered.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more, standing, stooping, and climbing stairs/ladders.
  • Capacity to follow basic work routines and standards effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for exchanging straightforward information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
