Lead Software Engineer | Agentic Voice AI Platform

Location: Mountain View, CA (On-site)

Salary: $180K - $240K + Equity

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, we're building the next generation of voice-based AI intelligent systems that can think, speak, and act like real teammates. Our mission is to create AI agents capable of handling complex conversations and workflows across industries like finance, insurance, and customer engagement.

What you'll do

Help architect, build, and deploy high-impact AI systems from the ground up. You'll work directly with the founding team to design both voice interaction frameworks and backend infrastructure that power real-time intelligent dialogue.
  • Develop and optimize AI systems that combine voice interaction, reasoning, and automation.
  • Build across the stack from scalable backend infrastructure to fluid conversational interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with founders, researchers, and enterprise partners to refine use cases and performance.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly to bring AI agents from concept to production.
  • Contribute to the engineering culture and set technical standards for future hires.
What you'll bring
  • BSCS or equivalent technical degree preferred
  • Experience using React, Next.js, and real-time systems
  • 3 - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, particularly Fast API or Django
  • Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Proven experience building or integrating AI agents, LLM orchestration, or workflow automation systems
Nice to have
  • Background in ML/AI model optimization or orchestration (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.)
  • Experience scaling production-grade ML systems
  • Startup experience or a desire to build something from zero to one
