Position Overview
As a Certified Surgical Tech, and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective patient care within the operating room. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care, assisting surgeons during procedures, maintaining surgical asepsis, and collaborating with nursing staff in clinical decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate specialized surgical technician skills in alignment with industry standards.
- Prepare the operating suite by gathering surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments.
- Maintain sterile techniques during surgical processes.
- Assist in cleaning and preparing the operating room between cases.
- Prepare for the next day’s procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Active Surgical Tech Certification.
- At least one year of experience in an operating room setting, ideally in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification is not acceptable.
