Volt is Hiring: Tool Crib Attendant - South Gate, CA

Join our team and keep operations running smoothly

Responsibilities:
  • Issue calibrated measuring instruments, tools, equipment, and consumables to employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of issued and returned items using computer systems and Cribware software.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance for instrument calibration and provide reports on upcoming calibration dates.
  • Locate lost or misplaced tools and manage instruments tagged out of service in both physical storage and Cribware.
  • Assist with periodic and perpetual inventory of tools, equipment, and consumables.
  • Inspect tools and equipment for defects or wear; report issues to supervisors.
  • Perform basic repairs, servicing, and lubrication of tools and equipment; mark and identify items as needed.
  • Deliver tools and equipment to employees as required.
  • Operate barcoding systems and vending-dispensed tool machines.
  • Support other departments with related tasks as directed.
  • Maintain security of the tool crib during assigned shift.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages).
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs and follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.

Location: South Gate, CA
Schedule: Full-time, 2nd Shift Tuesday - Saturday Schedule. Must be open to train from 12noon to 8:30pm
