Summary:

We are seeking a candidate for a key project leadership role leading project controls operations for our Leased program, a portfolio of critical strategic importance for Meta's infrastructure growth. The Project Controls Lead will not only be a technical subject matter expert overseeing all cost controls & commercial deliverables on the program and across multiple Vendors and Landlords, but also lead a team of analysts representing Meta that will manage invoicing, commitments, financial reporting, and commercial management for the program. This person will be a critical partner for the Delivery Team. Leadership, communication, and organization skills are important in this highly collaborative, analytical, and strategic role. This position will work closely within the DEC (Design, Engineering and Construction) Business Controls team and various internal departments including Site Project Management teams, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Operations Engineering.

Required Skills:

Area Project Controls Lead, Leased Data Centers Responsibilities:

  1. Technical lead in Cost Controls on the Leased program, including budget management, forecasting, change management diligence / Owner Change Order quality, invoice review, accruals, and risk facilitation

  2. Develop and maintain the overall project controls strategy and operations for the Leased program

  3. Analyze and communicate the projects Project Controls Health (financial, change, and risk) to project and DEC leadership

  4. Identify project commercial risk mitigation opportunities in collaboration with the Schedule Lead, Delivery team, and XFN partners, and drive those opportunities into resolution

  5. Support the Preconstruction team in the review of General Contractor and Landlord contracts & commercial terms, gathering of historical data, incorporation of master contract terms, communication, and management of finalized internal budget

  6. Provide support of Areas projects' cost forecasts, cash flow risks, and variances monthly/quarterly for communication to Site Leadership and Strategic Planning & Analytics partners

  7. Direct communication with Schedule Lead to ensure collaboration and alignment of project health between cost and schedule and overall project risk

  8. Lead a team of contingent workers to support project controls operations for the project

  9. Approximately 25-50% travel to other Data Center sites and Company Headquarters

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of Construction Project Controls experience

  2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent Technical Field or related field experience

  3. Subject Matter Expert in Cost management, construction change orders, and risk management

  4. Experience in Earned Value Management or collection and analysis of resource data

  5. Experience in Data Center, Manufacturing, Infrastructure or Construction programs requiring complicated commissioning specifications

  6. Proficient in Oracle Unifier

  7. Demonstrated analytical, communication, problem solving, prioritization, organization and reporting skills

  1. Experience leading a team of project controls professionals

  2. Experience leading complex project or program project controls amongst a large group internal and external of project stakeholders

  3. Successful development and implementation of project controls strategies in a large organization

  4. Experience partnering with XFN teams to influence strategic direction

  5. Experience developing and driving actions or operational adjustments based on project controls performance metrics

  6. Experience negotiating construction changes or complex construction claims

Public Compensation:

$150,000/year to $209,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
