REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum 8 years of relevant experience in cloud, networking, and automation
  • Traditional Networking exp:
  • Cisco Nexus
  • Understanding of layers 1 - 7 of the OSI model and extensive experience with LAN/WAN Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF. Solid understanding of networking (IPSec / NAT / BGP) and software defined networking
  • F5 Load Balancers
  • Network Security (i.e. Fortinet, and Checkpoint Security Solutions, Zero Truist (zScaler etc.))
  • Knowledge of Network Monitoring tools and platforms (i.e. Logic Monitor, Thousand eyes, Big Panda, Sum Logic, App Dynamics)
  • Network Engineering & Cloud Migration/Transformation experience - Not just someone who has worked in a cloud env. - someone who has been through a migration from on prem into cloud
  • Needs them to know both the traditional networking/on prem side and the cloud side so they can speak to the traditional on prem/Data Center component but also can be aware of possible challenges, best practices, and what needs to be done to move things to the cloud and can help the team prepare for that.
  • Cloud Experience (AWS):
  • Both AWS and GCP is ideal, but AWS is a must, if they only have AWS and no GCP that is fine. (If they are 70% GCP and 20% AWS he'd consider it but if they are 100% GPC, or 70% GCP and 20% Azure that won't work)
  • Aviatrix and Multi-cloud Networking Exp:
  • Experience with networking across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) is crucial
  • Aviatrix - Establishing muti cloud connections in Aviatrix
  • Automation and Scripting: Skills in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Python) to manage and automate cloud infrastructure
  • Network Design and Architecture: Experience in designing and implementing resilient and scalable network architectures using Aviatrix
  • Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools, including Aviatrix's embedded security solutions
  • Experience with IaC tools to automate is required (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices and Agile / Kanban methodologies

PREFERRED/BONUS SKILLS:
  • At least some experience with SDWAN
  • Meraki Wi-Fi solutions

REQUIRED CERTS:
  • Network Certs: At minimum, candidates should have CCNA, CCNP
  • Cloud Certs: AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Engineer or AWS Networking certification mandatory

PREFERRED:
  • CCIE
  • Aviatrix Certified Engineer (ACE) Certification: This certification demonstrates proficiency in Aviatrix's cloud networking solutions and is highly valued but not required
