Job Description Summary:
A diversified financial services organization is seeking a Tax Accountant to support tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a range of individuals, trusts, business entities, and investments. This role offers the opportunity to develop as a tax professional while working closely with a highly collaborative finance and tax team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and review federal and state tax filings for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
  • Conduct first-level reviews of workpapers, identifying key tax issues.
  • Research and analyze complex tax issues and summarize findings for management.
  • Recommend tax treatments based on research and technical analysis.
  • Prepare and review foreign filings (Forms 5471, 8865, 926, FBAR), track compliance, and document positions taken.
  • Collaborate with portfolio companies on tax planning, structuring, and administration.
  • Partner with other business groups to support annual tax compliance cycles.
  • Deliver trainings on new tax reform topics and emerging tax issues.
  • Work with IT teams to develop and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency in tax return preparation.
  • Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits, including review of notice response packages.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-3 years of public accounting experience in tax, or similar experience in a family office environment.
  • Advanced technical tax skills, with emphasis on partnership taxation; experience with Forms 1040, 1120S, and 1120.
  • Strong tax research capabilities.
  • CPA designation preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional integrity, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a confidential and complex environment.
  • Effective collaborator with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Hands-on approach with willingness to contribute at all levels.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • Competitive salary range of $80,000-$90,000.
