About the Position

A well-established, multi-location dental group is seeking a General Dentist to join its growing team in Eastern North Carolina. This position will initially include 1 day per week in Morehead City (with the office opening in March/April) and 3 days per week in Jacksonville, transitioning to additional days in Morehead City as the practice becomes fully established.

The Jacksonville location serves a patient population that is approximately 75% North Carolina Medicaid, so the ideal provider must be comfortable treating Medicaid patients. The Morehead City office will also accept Medicaid but is designed to function more like a private practice, accepting major insurance plans along with cash and private-pay patients.

The incoming dentist should be confident providing comprehensive general dentistry, including oral surgery and removable prosthodontics.

You will work alongside:

  • 1 additional Dentist

  • 2 Dental Assistants

  • 2 Hygienists

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Clinical Details:

  • In-house lab for removable appliances

  • Fixed prosthetics are sent to a nearby partner lab in New Bern

  • Focus on General and Restorative Dentistry

  • Restorative appointments: 60 minutes

  • Crown appointments: 90 minutes

  • Patient mix includes Medicaid, cash, and private-pay

Compensation & Benefits

  • $1,000 daily rate

  • Bonus every 60 days based on collections:

    • 30% of fixed or removable procedures

    • 33% of restorative and exam production
