Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled per diem CT Technologist. This role allows you the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis while delivering high-quality care.

Job Summary

As a CT Technologist, you will perform Computed Tomography (CT) scans to generate detailed images of internal organs and tissues for accurate diagnosis and treatment by physicians.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required; Current or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT); Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or equivalent certifications.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • At least one year of experience as a CT Technologist or two years as a Radiological Technologist with CT experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients safely and effectively.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Carry out CT scans as per protocol: Prepare, explain procedures, administer contrast, position patients, and ensure technical quality.
  • Monitor and record patient data accurately.
  • Conduct quality assurance on CT equipment and assist with accreditation applications if needed.
  • Address incidents or malfunctions and report to management.
  • Be available for emergency calls and work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to departmental policies.
  • Engage in professional development and assist in mentoring less experienced staff.
