Join Taft's dynamic eDiscovery & Litigation Services team as an eDiscovery Legal Specialist. We are looking for a dedicated professional with over 3 years of experience as an eDiscovery Attorney to enhance our collaborative approach in providing exceptional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Consulting

  • Promote Taft Discovery's resources and capabilities to attorneys and staff through engaging training sessions and relationship-building.
  • Provide case teams and clients with recommendations on discovery process improvements and leveraging technology to reduce costs and risks.
  • Conduct training on best practices and the technical aspects of the firm’s litigation applications.

Document Preservation & Collection:

  • Advise case teams on document preservation and collection strategies, adhering to best practices.
  • Draft and manage Litigation Hold Notices effectively.
  • Lead document collection scoping interviews with clients.
  • Collaborate with vendors and client IT departments to facilitate seamless document collections.
  • Work closely with Taft Discovery Analysts on data collection and processing using Relativity.

Searching & Culling:

  • Develop and advise on strategies for efficient data culling aligned with best practices.
  • Create, revise, and test search terms for data culling and document review.

Document Review & Case Development:

  • Guide case teams in conducting effective document reviews according to established best practices.
  • Establish and implement quality control protocols for document reviews.
  • Train and supervise contract attorney review teams.

Document Production:

  • Advise on document production options and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Taft Discovery Analysts on production specifications and quality control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor is required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a dedicated eDiscovery Attorney, beyond just document review.
  • In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery best practices, industry trends, including Sedona Conference and EDRM.
  • Proficiency with Relativity is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, complex matters under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and adaptability to a changing work environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a client service focus.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong service orientation.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills for problem-solving.
  • A genuine passion and aptitude for eDiscovery.
