Systems Engineer IV - Quality Validation Engineer

Location: Tuczon, AZ

Role Overview
  • Primary Focus:
    • Quality validation of software and controllers for mining equipment.
    • Bug identification, running and writing test plans/scripts, validating new features and bug fixes.
    • Collaborate with software developers and downstream partners (e.g., proving grounds teams).
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Education:
    • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical background.
    • Open to other degrees if experience is strong in validation and Python.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum: ~3 years
    • Maximum: ~12 years (candidates with 10-12 years are welcome; 15+ may be overqualified).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing experience.
    • Python scripting and test automation (Python is a key skill).
    • Experience with documentation and development tools (e.g., Jira, Ops, Docker, Linux).
    • Experience with test plan creation, bug tracking, and validation reporting.
    • Desired: Some basic electronic hardware troubleshooting (e.g., harnesses, CAN/Ethernet connections), but not a major focus.
