Job Description:

Pay Range: $95hr - $100hr
  • The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software for safety-critical medical devices.
  • This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with large, complex code bases in regulated environments.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • 15-20 years of experience in real-time embedded software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems programming.
  • Expertise with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Hands-on experience with QNX and/or OSE operating systems.
  • Experience with interprocess communication (IPC) mechanisms.
  • Experience with architecture and design of large-scale embedded applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience:
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex embedded software issues.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain real-time embedded software for safety-critical devices.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit tests, and integration testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in embedded environments.
Should Have:
  • Background in medical device software or familiarity with FDA regulations.
  • Experience with safety-critical systems such as infusion devices.
  • Knowledge of UART, SPI, and I2C communication protocols.
  • Experience in networking application development including TCP/IP, TLS 1.3, DHCP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
  • Understanding of network security, PKI systems, and certificate management.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi (802.11) and wireless security protocols (EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, EAP-PEAP).
  • Device security experience including secure boot and encryption/authentication algorithms.
  • Experience with OTA firmware updates and device provisioning.
  • Familiarity with OpenSSL or similar APIs.
Skills:
  • Strong embedded debugging and analytical skills.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Qualification and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
