The Pathology and Clinical Lab Medical Technologist is a Bachelors prepared Medical Technologist who obtains patient specimens, performs diagnostic tests, interprets and reports results. The technologist performs quality control testing and equipment maintenance, maintains inventory, and assists in training new employees and students. Technologists may specialize in hematology, blood bank, serology/urinalysis, chemistry or microbiology, or may be generalist proficient in all areas of the laboratory.

REQUIRED: Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology, biological sciences or related Field of study.

REQUIRED: Certification with ASCP or AMT. A candidate with a Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology has one year from date of hire to obtain Certification.
