Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Bakersfield, CA to maintain heating and cooling systems for commercial properties and agricultural facilities.

Impact

• Ensure reliable climate control for office buildings, schools, and agricultural processing facilities

• Minimize equipment failures through scheduled maintenance and proactive repairs

• Improve system efficiency and reduce utility costs by optimizing HVAC performance

• Support agricultural operations by maintaining critical temperature and humidity control systems

• Build long-term client relationships through professional service and responsive support

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, split systems, and exhaust fans

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures in heating and cooling systems

• Test refrigerant charge, airflow, and temperature differentials to ensure proper operation

• Replace worn components including belts, filters, bearings, and contactors during PM visits

• Respond to emergency service calls to restore HVAC operations promptly

• Inspect electrical connections and test capacitors, relays, and control circuits

• Complete service reports and communicate findings to clients with repair recommendations

• Coordinate with facility managers to schedule maintenance and minimize disruptions

• Maintain company vehicle and ensure proper stock of parts and tools

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience

• EPA Universal refrigerant handling certification

• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical troubleshooting

• Valid California driver's license

• Strong customer service and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• NATE certification in service or installation

• Experience with agricultural HVAC and refrigeration systems

• Familiarity with DDC controls and building automation

• OSHA 10 certification
