Urgent Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our fast-paced, patient-centered clinical team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing remarkable care. This role supports providers, assists with clinical workflows, and ensures exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities
Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation
Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
Assist providers with exams, diagnostic testing, and minor procedures
Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, UA, glucose, etc.)
Administer injections and medications per protocol
Conduct EKGs, specimen collection, and specimen handling
Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, restock supplies
Coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations
Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
Support front office operations as needed, including check-in, scheduling, and insurance verification
Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance standards of Novant Health

Qualifications

Required:
Active CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or equivalent). Must be from an accredited program
High school diploma or GED
Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
Ability to work in a fast-paced urgent care setting
Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred:
Previous experience in urgent care, primary care, family medicine, or emergency medicine
EMR experience
