Grants Manager

Our client, a dedicated public health organization committed to equity and community well-being, is seeking a highly skilled Grants Manager to oversee vital federal and city-funded programs. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the fiscal integrity of programs that make a real difference in people's lives, while supporting initiatives aimed at ending health disparities and fostering racial justice. Compensation: $35-37/hr, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and safeguard the financial operations of federal and municipal grants, including Ryan White Part A and related programs, ensuring adherence to all funding requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive financial records for programs such as budgets, purchases, billing, and grant documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise and coordinate the budget development, contract processing, and expense monitoring for subrecipients and funded agencies.
• Facilitate the processing of invoices, budget revisions, and purchase orders via ReQlogic, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Implement and oversee fiscal monitoring practices aligned with National Monitoring Standards, conducting site visits and providing guidance to subrecipients.
• Prepare and present fiscal and compliance reports for grant applications, renewals, and audits, serving as a primary liaison between funders and internal teams.
• Coordinate with finance and grants teams to ensure grant budgets and expenditures are accurate and up-to-date in the accounting system.
• Provide training and mentorship to fiscal staff and subrecipients on fiscal procedures and compliance standards.
• Assist with federal grant proposals and reporting requirements, ensuring all financial materials are completed accurately and on time.
• Lead the reconciliation process for funded programs, maintaining meticulous records for review and audits.
• Promote a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the fiscal team.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of business experience with at least 3 years in grant management, budgeting, contracting, or related fiscal roles.
• Supervisory experience is required, demonstrating leadership and team development skills.
• Proven ability to work independently with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with database management and budget development software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and policies.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to establish rapport with diverse community groups and project a culturally competent approach.
• Prior experience working with city or municipal agencies is advantageous.
