Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse In this crucial role, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout their care journey, with a strong focus on ensuring smooth transitions and progress towards discharge.

As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will deliver exceptional patient care while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to meet the comprehensive needs of our patients and families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care as per company policy and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications based on orders.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide and supervise ancillary personnel while upholding the standards of professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Must possess a current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care required.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and principles, with the ability to apply problem-solving tools to enhance departmental and patient care quality.

Hourly Rate: $34.65 - $35.69
