Sr Analyst, Portfolio Governance Operations

The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking a Sr Analyst, Portfolio Governance Operations to join our Transformation Office & Tech Delivery team based in our New York, New York Headquarters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver requirements for dashboards, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles to provide real-time status visibility for programs and projects in reports, collaborating with the Data Reporting Analyst.
- Track and reprioritize finance-based and contractual requests based on quarterly PI Planning sessions.
- Collaborate with finance and delivery leads to categorize work by Value Streams and report on financial performance.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting for quarterly open project reports.
- Deliver annual resource analysis and resource capitalization percentages.
- Analyze technology spend vs. outcomes, supporting ROI and business case development.
- Ensure financial reporting consistency with Strategic Portfolio and partner with Finance team.
- Work closely with Data Reporting Analysts to create reports and dashboards.
- Support time sheet management and new resource onboarding.
- Manage resource capacity, allocation, roles, and data in ServiceNow/Jira.
- Perform bi-annual analysis of resource's operational resource plan percentages, rates, roles, and groups.
- Analyze and report on resource capacity vs. allocation across GT&O projects, distinguishing between full-time employees and contingent workers.
- Contribute to investment prioritization frameworks and portfolio rationalization, as well as creating guidelines to help decide investment prioritization to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Act as a liaison between finance, delivery teams, and product leaders.
- Provide guidance on budgetary and funding processes to delivery teams, helping them operate within financial guardrails.
- Prepare financial and operational updates for executive steering committees and governance forums; including ESC's; ATRB; Strategic Monthly Syncs; Monthly Financial reviews with SVPs of Agile Transformation.
- Support decision-making on new initiatives, vendor contracts, or resourcing models.
- Develop reports/assessments using Microsoft Applications.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business & data analysis, technology financial forecasting, resource planning and/or portfolio governance, and strategic planning activities ideally within a media environment.
- Experience with ServiceNow's Strategic Portfolio Management Suite and/or Atlassian Jira, PowerBI, Financial Models.
- Strong financial forecasting with Agile/SAFe environments, capital vs. expense management for technology projects and data visualization skills (e.g., Excel, Visio/Lucid Chart, Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan).
- Experience in process mapping, requirements gathering and documentation required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
