Licensed Practical Nurse
* Secured facility - Medium facility with male inmates
* Level 2 Mental Health facility
* No cell phones or electronic devices allowed in facility
* Requesting full time but may consider part time
* Must have one year medical/surgical experience, BLS certified and have a current NYS license
* Hours, shifts, days off vary based on facility needs -
* Primary need is 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am unpaid meal break
* ER experience recommended
* Positions available ASAP
Job duties - (including but not limited to)
Licensed Practical Nurses are licensed health care practitioners who provide direct nursing care to individuals in a variety of settings under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, or other licensed health care provider, in accordance with article 139 of the Education Law. Incumbents perform nursing care tasks and procedures consistent with individual treatment plans; administer medications as prescribed; observe and report individuals responses to treatment and changes in health status; attend to individual's personal needs, such as activities of daily living and hygiene tasks, and provide health teaching to individuals. Obtain and records individual's temperatures, blood pressures, pulse rates, and other vital signs using standard instruments and procedures.
Salary commensurate with scope of work job experience
Proper footwear required to perform tasks in a safe manner.
Perform other reasonably related duties as required.
