The Nurse Director Inpatient Clinical Education is a pivotal leadership role for an RN leader dedicated to advancing clinical education and enhancing patient outcomes. This opportunity is tailored for a collaborative, mentoring-focused educator who excels at fostering evidence-based practice and team growth within the inpatient setting.

Joining a not-for-profit, Joint Commission-accredited acute care teaching hospital, the Nurse Director Inpatient Clinical Education will operate within a culture rooted in nursing excellence, shared governance, and innovative learning resources such as simulation labs and ongoing education programs. Reporting directly to senior nursing leadership, such as the Chief Nursing Officer or Vice President of Patient Care Services, the Nurse Director will oversee inpatient clinical education across various units-including medical-surgical, critical care, perioperative, emergency, and women's and infants units-while maintaining strong relationships with ambulatory services.

The Nurse Director Inpatient Clinical Education will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive clinical education programs, nurse residency and onboarding pathways, preceptor training, and competency initiatives grounded in adult learning principles and evidence-based practices. This leader will also manage strategic planning, budgeting, policy development, and regulatory compliance, serving as a change agent to drive improvements in quality, safety, and professional nursing practice organization-wide.

Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams-including Nursing, Human Resources, Quality, Compliance, Infection Prevention, Medical Education, and physicians-the Nurse Director Inpatient Clinical Education will ensure alignment of enterprise-wide education and competency goals. This role involves guiding a dedicated team of clinical educators, simulation specialists, and coordinators, fostering a professional and supportive environment that encourages continuous staff development and learning.
