A Dependable Transports is hiring Class A CDL drivers based within 85 miles of Abilene, TX (79601) for a South Central regional dry van operation. This position offers consistent freight, predictable routing, and dependable pay for drivers at different experience levels.

This account operates primarily throughout Texas and surrounding South Central states, providing steady miles without coast-to-coast or all-48-state routing. The focus is on reliability, safety, and long-term stability.

Home Time

Drivers on this account are typically out 5-7 days home weekly for 34-48 hour resets scheduled days home may vary some weekend work may be required

Pay & Weekly Earnings

This is a mileage-based, W-2 position with weekly pay.
  • Average weekly earnings: $1,100-$1,400
  • Top earners: up to $1,600 per week, based on miles and consistency
  • Weekly pay with direct deposit available

New Drivers - Paid Training Available

Recent graduates from accredited CDL programs may qualify for paid training with a mentor.
  • CDL must be obtained from an approved school

  • Training pay is issued weekly
  • After training, drivers transition to solo status with regular mileage pay
New drivers are given the time and support needed to safely learn the lanes, manage hours of service, and operate independently.

Experienced Drivers

Drivers with verifiable tractor-trailer experience may qualify to begin solo immediately without additional training.

Experienced drivers are eligible for higher starting mileage rates and may qualify for enhanced home time opportunities based on location and availability.

Freight & Equipment
  • Dry van freight only
  • No-touch freight
  • Combination of drop & hook and live unload at delivery
  • Typically 1-2 loads per day
  • Average 300-500 miles per day
  • Late-model equipment with 53-foot trailers
Drivers are expected to operate safely, follow DOT regulations, manage schedules responsibly, and maintain professional interactions at customer locations.
