MedStar Health is excited to invite a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team at Therapy - Wheaton We are seeking a talented individual with strong competency in physical therapy practices, a range of treatment approaches, and a collaborative spirit.
The Physical Therapist Assistant will deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to patients, including personalized treatments, training, and equipment recommendations under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Document and charge for patient care, ensuring a clear overview of patient progress under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in accordance with state requirements.
Exhibit strong time management skills while meeting productivity benchmarks. Arrange a suitable schedule for evaluations and discharge summaries in collaboration with the physical therapist.
Engage in effective discharge planning and follow-up care, working closely with the supervising physical therapist to assess equipment needs and involve patients and families in treatment planning.
Identify and document changes in patient conditions, collaborating to adjust treatment plans as necessary and participating in progress evaluations.
Commit to ongoing professional development and serve as a clinical instructor for students when applicable.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
Valid licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD $25.35 - USD $44.55 per hour.
