Compassionate Care Hospice is a trusted hospice agency that serves several cities in Orange County. We provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our goal is to create a peaceful and comforting environment where individuals can find solace and dignity during their journey.
Role Description
This is an on-site/hybrid volunteer role for a Hospice Volunteer. Hospice Volunteers will assist our clinical team with patient care, providing emotional support, and companionship. They may also assist with administrative tasks and receive training from our experienced team.
Qualifications
- Communication skills, including active listening and empathy
- Basic knowledge of medicine, patient care, and safety
- Willingness to learn and participate in our training program
- Availability for at least 1 hour per week
Additional qualifications and skills that would be beneficial include:
- Passionate about working with elderly people
- Eager to bring smiles to people's faces
- Experience with or interest in clinical industry is a plus
- Interest in pursuing a clinical path
- Sewing, arts, music, activities hosting, and others (please specify upon application)
- Motivated to learn and grow- both personally and professionally
