Position Summary:
This position can be filled at the Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer level. The selected candidate will perform advanced engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations, acting as a resource and technical expert to other engineers. You will be responsible for making technical decisions and will need to possess extensive knowledge of functional disciplines and industry codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced technical expertise to develop, manage, and execute engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Take on engineering and technical leadership responsibilities for both short-term and long-term programs affecting site operations.
- Carry out engineering tasks as assigned, applying sound engineering principles.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, and codes during project preparation.
- Conduct independent research and analysis to support technical projects and programs.
- Propose equipment, concepts, and techniques aimed at enhancing performance, simplifying construction, reducing costs, or aligning with updated codes or regulations.
- Perform additional duties as directed by management, including emergency response support and involvement in outage activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Entry-Level Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Meets access and medical requirements as applicable to position duties.
Mid-Level Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of nuclear or relevant engineering experience.
- Meets access and medical requirements as applicable to position duties.
Senior Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Meets access and medical requirements as applicable to position duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Experience in the Nuclear Industry.
- Prior experience with License Renewal is highly desirable.
