Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization in Kansas City, MO, specializing in System Integration within Electrical Controls. This role involves both design and field engineering responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and automation.

The ideal candidate will:

 • Design and implement control systems for manufacturing environments, including reviewing specifications and adhering to industry standards.

 • Develop system architecture, including PLC logic, HMI screens, and system maps.

 • Support conveyor control systems and handle occasional rework projects such as panel modifications and motor VFD sizing.

 • Lead field operations, including installation assistance, system startup, debugging, and on-site support during launch and standby phases.

 • Collaborate effectively within a team while also being capable of working independently when needed.

Skills and Requirements

· Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering & Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience with a technical degree

 · 3+ years of industry experience working for a systems integrator;

 · Programming Knowledge (Rockwell PLC/HMI’s are preferred but are open to similar software’s)

RSLogix 5, 5000, RS Networx ,DriveExecutive, DriveExplorer, PanelBuilder PDS, 1400e; 32, RSView Studio VFD is preferred (Rockwell preferred)
