Primary Care Physician Associate Medical Director

SSM Health is excited to announce an opportunity for a Primary Care Physician Associate Medical Director role. This position is ideal for a passionate medical professional looking to make an impactful contribution to community health.
The role includes a commitment of 8 hours per week dedicated to Associate Medical Director responsibilities, structured into two 4-hour sessions. In addition, the provider will manage a set outpatient clinic practice ranging from .6 to .8 FTE, alongside a .2 FTE commitment as Associate Medical Director.
Key duties for the Associate Medical Director for Primary Care include:
- Establishing personal relationships with local providers
- Facilitating regular check-ins for new providers within the practices
- Acting as a peer contact for providers
- Managing Workday tasks for assigned providers
- Collaborating with management on provider-related and workflow challenges
- Overseeing performance improvement plans or disciplinary actions
- Serving as an aligned leader within primary care
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience in a similar role
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Eligibility for a Wisconsin medical license
