As a Surgical Technologist I, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care in our dynamic Operating Room. At Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, we are dedicated to innovative care, and we invite you to be a part of our mission.

Schedule: Full-time, evening shift options with a mix of 8 or 10-hour shifts and call responsibilities. Majority of call is overnight with some weekend slots. Quick 30-minute response time required for call.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring optimal patient care through aseptic techniques.
  • Assist in surgical procedures by anticipating the surgeon’s needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Set up and disassemble the operating room following each procedure to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Transport patients and equipment, demonstrating safe lifting and positioning techniques.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within six months if not already certified).
  • No prior experience required, but a passion for patient care and teamwork is essential.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry various weights, as listed in the job description.
  • Comfortable working with necessary safety equipment such as masks, gloves, and goggles.
