Job Description
  • Oversee and ensure complete, accurate material take-offs for all items of work.
  • Create scope sheets for potential bidders and bid tabulation sheets.
  • Prepare milestone budgets during the preconstruction process.
  • Maintain cost histories and pricing data for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the estimating process with management and other Estimators.
  • Provide feedback and analysis on project pricing and cost issues.
  • Support multiple ongoing projects with efficiency and attention to detail.

The Successful Applicant

A successful MEP Estimator should have:
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Progressive experience in FP/P/M/E estimating or the construction industry required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of multifamily experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong math and analytical skills, including advanced calculations.
  • Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar systems.
  • Thorough understanding of construction documents, mechanical reports, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of Sage Estimating Software (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
