Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid Madison, WI). W2 only, no C2C, must be authorized to work in the US (both now and in the future).

Carex is partnering with an AI Financial Tech industry partner to find a curious, driven Senior Software Engineer to help build innovative solutions for accounting teams through AI-powered technology. This well-funded startup is developing an integrated platform designed to deliver major time savings for accounting firms, with connections to multiple successful companies generating over $100M in revenue.

This role is a hybrid, full-stack position based in Madison, WI, with a focus on backend development. The Senior Software Engineer will work on the core "Denari Papers" product an essential component of the platform that streamlines trial balance workflows. The ideal candidate is backend-oriented, experienced with Golang, and comfortable working across the stack, including React and TypeScript. What Youll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable software for our trial balance product
  • Lead backend development efforts with a focus on Golang, leveraging your expertise or rapid learning capabilities
  • Contribute to full-stack development with React and TypeScript, collaborating closely with the frontend team
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that rewards initiative and ownership
  • Participate in product design, technical architecture decisions, and team processes to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions
  • Collaborate with a small, agile team to ship features quickly, iterate based on feedback, and solve real-world problems for accounting teams
What Youll Bring
  • Strong backend development experience, ideally with Golang, and demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new technologies
  • Familiarity with full-stack development, including React and TypeScript
  • Proven track record building scalable, reliable software in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • High energy, open-minded, and driven passionate about solving complex problems and challenging the status quo
  • Experience working on agile teams and shipping impactful features
  • Curiosity about AI and the broader tech landscape, with the ability to adapt and grow with evolving technologies
Compensation

The base salary for this role is between $100,000 and $150,000 based on experience. If the range doesnt align with your needs, please still apply Carex values transparency in all steps of the recruiting process.
