Cardiac Surgeon Opportunity in Silicon Valley

The Permanente Medical Group/Kaiser Permanente of Northern California seeks a cardiac surgeon to join the team in Santa Clara, California which is one of three main cardiac surgery centers of excellence in Northern California. We are seeking a talented, ambitious, and team oriented candidate. Prior experience of 2-3+ years is highly preferred, but all qualified candidates will be considered. Must be ABTS Board Certified or Board Eligible.

The Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center is a 350-bed quaternary care academic hospital. Our academic affiliations include UCSF and Stanford. We are a multi-specialty practice supported by full-time PAs, intensivists, and hospitalists dedicated to the cardiac surgery service line. We have a wide breadth of practice varying from standard coronary and valve cases to high acuity ECMO and Ventricular Assist Device cases.

PRACTICE DETAILS:

• Join a robust and collegial practice with 7 surgeons and a comprehensive multi-disciplinary heart team recognized nationally and locally for exceptional outcomes and multiple STS 3 star ratings.
• Spectrum of cases include complex valvular disease, coronary bypass, complex aortic surgery, TAVR, minimally invasive valve surgery, and a select group of surgeons performing MCS (LVADs and ECMO, with aspirations to initiate a transplant program in the years ahead).
• Consistent referrals from the entire Northern California region equaling 1100+ cases per year.
• Strong focus on balancing case load and call for optimal life-work balance.
• 24 bed Cardiac ICU, fully supported with in house intensivist and telemetry care physicians, clinic and scheduling staff, and an experienced team of 9 cardiac physician assistants.
• Research support for clinical outcome projects if interested in publishing (optional)

Full-time annual salary range is $566,580 to $580,020 with additional potential incentives up to $35,450.
