Dublin Post Acute Care is seeking a dependable, energetic Cook/Dietary Aide to join our dietary team Our ideal candidate is passionate about serving residents, enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and takes pride in preparing quality meals that support resident health and satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesCook Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to the facility's menu, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences.
- Ensure proper food temperatures, portion control, and attractive presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Follow safe food handling procedures and infection control standards.
- Coordinate meal service with dietary aides and nursing staff.
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and monitoring food supplies.
Dietary Aide Duties:
- Assist with meal prep, serving meals, and setting up meal trays.
- Deliver food carts to units and ensure timely meal service.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, and dining areas after meals.
- Follow resident dietary restrictions, textures, and allergies.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and families.
- Previous cooking or dietary aide experience preferred, especially in healthcare/long-term care.
- Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must pass background check and meet facility health requirements.
