Summary

Under the direction of the Director-Nursing, the Emergency Department RN works in a multidimensional setting. Emergency nursing practice involves the assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation of intervention.

Experience
  • Previous Emergency Department experience or one year critical care experience.
Special Skills
  • Basic EKG; Hazmat within 1 year of hire.
  • Incident Command training (ICS 100, 200, and 700) within 6 months of hire.
  • Experienced nurses must have ACLS upon hire, graduate nurses and nurses new to Critical Care must attain ACLS within 12 months of hire/transition.
Other

Basic Computer Skills.

License / Cert
  • RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from AHA within 1 year of hire
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 1 year of hire
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 1 year of hire

  • Required: Associates Nursing
  • Preferred: Bachelors Nursing
