Position OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and certified Virginia State Inspector to perform vehicle inspections in compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will preferably hold an Emissions Inspection License and have experience conducting thorough inspections to ensure vehicle safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Virginia state vehicle safety inspections in accordance with DMV guidelines.
- Conduct emissions inspections, preferably with a valid Emissions Inspection License.
- Identify and document any vehicle defects or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and complete required paperwork.
- Communicate inspection results clearly to customers and service staff.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to vehicle inspections.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Valid Virginia State Inspector certification is required.
- Emissions Inspection License preferred.
- Previous experience as a Virginia State Inspector or in automotive inspections is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow state inspection protocols.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
