IT Senior Systems Administrator

$55.00/hr - $65.00/hr

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to support multiple sites. This individual will be responsible for managing and maintaining program IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and computer systems and providing technical support to IT staff.

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• Implement and maintain security measures, including switches and antivirus software
• Perform regular system backups and data recovery operations
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and provide technical assistance to IT team
• Apply software patches, updates, and system upgrades and provide technical assistance to IT team
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
• Collaborate with IT team members to plan and execute infrastructure improvements
• Provide technical support and training to end-users
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry regulations
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities
  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of experience
• Understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and networking
• Familiarity with server installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Understanding of security principles and best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues
• Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
• Familiarity and experience with Aruba networks
• Knowledge of common scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
• Basic certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security +, Network+, or Microsoft Certified
• Experience with STIGS
