AWS Cloud Application Engineer (Hybrid)

Join BioSpace to apply for the AWS Cloud Application Engineer (Hybrid) role.

Location: onsite in Lake County, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Design and operate large?scale AWS cloud services, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to quickly understand existing systems and work effectively in agile environments.
  • Build cloud?native services using REST APIs, microservices?based architectures, and containerized technologies.
  • Develop high?scale distributed systems with fault?tolerant design.
  • Implement agile and test?driven development methodologies.
  • Manage the software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CI/CD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments.
  • Adhere to corporate and divisional policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience, or Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong hands?on experience developing applications on AWS cloud.
  • Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
  • Experience with Java, Python, or other modern programming languages.
  • A passion for learning new software technologies.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation range: $92,000.00 $115,000.00 (base salary; may vary by location).
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) program for eligible employees.
  • Eligibility to participate in short?term incentive programs.
