We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) to support our industrial customers across the Tristate Area of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
This field-based role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with tools, building strong customer relationships, and solving problems in real time. Territory: Tristate Area of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa (Preferred areas of residence: Cedar Rapids, Rockford, Milwaukee, Chicago)
Basic Function: This role is responsible for managing industrial accounts in a designated area, fostering relationships with key personnel of the industrial facilities, and being a liaison between the customer and SENCO.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing assigned industrial accounts in the region.
- Builds strong relationships with purchasing and plant managers for each assigned account.
- Conducts fastener cycle counts at the assigned industrial facilities.
- Annually conducts tool audits for each customer.
- Work as a liaison between SENCO and the customer for order mishaps/ short-shipments.
- Responsible for repairing SENCO tools for customers.
- Conduct training and product demonstrations for tool and fastener use in industrial applications.
- Develop territory knowledge and assist in new business growth with Territory Sales Managers.
- Be a SENCO ambassador at Industrial facilities and assist in upselling SENCO products to established customers.
- May need to travel to trade shows.
- Effectively manages account information and order forms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must have a high school degree or an equivalent.
- Technical/Mechanical certification or applicable experience is preferred.
- One to three years of technical experience with pneumatic tools is preferred.
- Experience in a trades field (construction or manufacturing) is preferred.
- Must be willing to travel 75% of the job throughout the territory weekly.
- Needs to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a remote setting and manage deadlines.
- Experience in conflict management.
- Has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to drive for prolonged periods of time up to, six hours on the road.
- Must be able to walk the parameter of industrial plants, 70% of the time.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a daily basis.
- Must be able to bend and squat up to 30% of the time.
