Position SummaryThe Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of assigned construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, experience in healthcare construction, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, design teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all project objectives are met within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and coordinate all aspects of construction projects ranging from $1M to $15M, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
- Oversee multiple active projects simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of organization, communication, and quality control.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, design consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, plans, and regulatory requirements, including HCAI/OSHPD.
- Participate in preconstruction efforts, including feasibility assessments, constructability reviews, value engineering, and preliminary scheduling.
- Assist with the development of scopes of work, bid packages, and procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with internal and external MEP partners during design-build or design-assist phases.
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, and billing.
- Review subcontractor proposals, recommend selections, and manage contractual obligations.
- Ensure cost-control measures are implemented and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with superintendents to ensure field activities align with project plans, timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Ensure project documentation, RFIs, submittals, logs, and reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, commissioning, O&M documentation, and turnover packages.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and supporting strategic long-term partnerships.
- Three (3) or more years of experience serving as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, each ranging from $1M$15M in value.
- Healthcare/medical construction experience required, including familiarity with HCAI/OSHPD or similar regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost management, subcontractor coordination, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with industry-standard project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for jobsite travel.
- Experience with design-build or design-assist delivery models.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) coordination background.
- Experience working with healthcare clients and end-users in occupied or operational facilities.
- OSHA 30 certification.
