The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a collaborative advisor for the region and AON, providing a proactive, practical, and valuable HR perspective in partnership with practice leadership for the assigned region. The HRBP works to find common ground across functions, advises and works closely with all region managers and leaders, and collaborates with the HR function and the business to deliver value?added services that reflect the business objectives and further the company's agenda across all departments. The role supports financial goals, ensures positive customer satisfaction, and serves as a role model for the organizations core values and service standards. The HRBP is responsible for critical HR functions such as talent management, leadership, analytics, relationships, and compliance.

Key Performance AreasKPA 1 Management and Support
- Provide day?to?day performance management guidance to department management through coaching, career development, and counseling.
- Develop and facilitate workforce planning, recognition, succession planning, and employee relations strategies with department leadership.
- Lead and participate in region acquisition and transition detail and activity.
- Support stakeholders by coaching innovative work processes and team structures to improve business efficiencies.
- Provide informal leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Act as program/process leader for HR initiatives such as open enrollment, leader education programs, and performance management.
- Support the development of relationships with colleges/universities as part of the School Affiliation program and ensure compliance with AON requirements.
- Analyze trends and metrics (turnover, retention, engagement, complaints, hiring, ER issues, leaves of absence, etc.) and identify talent trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop recommendations to address risks and collaborate to implement programs and actionable people management solutions to achieve measurable improvements.
- Participate in continuous?improvement initiatives, committees, and special projects.
- Maintain healthy relationships across the region, network, and HR team.
- Coordinate and execute smooth and successful involuntary separations with managers and prepare required documentation.
- Actively participate in HR department meetings and contribute to solution formulation for departmental and business?wide challenges.
- Collaborate in a remote environment with leaders throughout the network, assisting in compensation, benefits, recruitment, and training.
- Support the design, development, and facilitation of employee/leadership development programs such as Respectful Workplace and Enhancing the AON Patient Experience.
- Travel routinely to practices to round with managers and employees.
- Maintain in?depth knowledge of HR/Employment legal requirements and policies, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance.
- Facilitate change management by optimizing organizational readiness and engagement.
- Administer HR policies, programs, and practices and ensure alignment with practice and region goals.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the HR Director and VP HR.
- Work with the Director to assess and execute regional transitions, including acquisition and unwind transactions, onboarding, and offboarding.
Education
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business, HR, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, demonstrating knowledge as ER specialist, management advisor, or consultant.
- Strong HR ER foundation with breadth and depth of HR knowledge, best practices, processes, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- At least 2 years of healthcare or physician practice experience.
- M&A experience preferred.
- Experience in a remote environment and multi?state availability preferred.
- Ability to understand and facilitate change management processes related to employment, HR strategies, and organizational objectives.
- Human Resources Certification (PHR or SHRM?CP) preferred.
- Analysis & Critical Thinking: Strong problem?solving, analysis, decision?making, planning, time?management, and organizational skills.
- Interpersonal Effectiveness: Emotive intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, and diversity awareness.
- Communication: Effective oral, written, and presentation skills with balanced feedback.
- Customer & Organizational Awareness: Strong focus on building an engaging culture of quality and operational excellence.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Facilitate discussions, coach, mentor, and motivate others toward common goals.
- Human Resources Management: Hire, coach, and support staff development, manage performance, and employee relations under established policies.
- Self?Management: Manage time, priorities, and stress independently while working remotely.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); preferred MS Access, MS Project, MindMap/MindJet; experience with HRIS systems (Lawson, PeopleSoft, etc.).
