Forklift / Turret Truck Operator

Operate a turret truck / forklift in a cold storage or warehouse environment to move, store, stack, and retrieve inventory safely and efficiently. Maintain accuracy in inventory tracking and contribute to overall warehouse productivity and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate turret trucks, forklifts (stand-up, sit-down, etc.) to transport, retrieve, and stack materials in high-density storage areas.
  • Navigate narrow aisles and reach high racking safely.
  • Load and unload products from trailers or other transport vehicles; stage inventory for shipping or storage.
  • Perform cycle counts or inventory checks; scan items and track them via Warehouse Management System (WMS) or RF scanners.
  • Inspect equipment daily (forklift / turret truck) and report any maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies, including safe lifting, proper handling of loads, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in general warehouse duties as needed: housekeeping, organizing pallets, helping other associates when workload demands.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience (at least ~1 year) operating turret trucks or similar forklift equipment.
  • Valid forklift/turret truck certification (or ability to become certified).
  • Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs regularly.
  • Comfortable working in narrow aisles, at heights (in racks), and occasionally in cold / varying temperature environments.
  • Strong attention to detail: accurately tracking inventory, following instructions.
  • Good communication skills; ability to work with team and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Warehouse / cold storage facility with temperature variations.
  • Physical work: standing, lifting, bending, reaching, etc.
  • Indoor environment, possibly with forklift noise, narrow aisles.
  • PPE required (e.g. steel?toed shoes, safety vest, maybe hearing or eye protection).
  • Shift is full?time, likely Monday through Friday, but may occasionally require overtime or flexibility during peak periods.
