The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Battle Creek seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Process accounts payable for raw materials, supplies, and operating expenses.
- Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing and collections for manufactured goods.
- Perform accurate and timely bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Process payroll for manufacturing and administrative staff.
- Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries, and ensuring data integrity.
- Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of basic financial reports.
- Support inventory data entry and cost of goods sold calculations.
- Proficiency in general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Demonstrated experience with cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation, work-in-progress (WIP), and cost of goods sold (COGS) in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or advanced accounting software.
- Strong ability to perform bank and account reconciliations accurately and timely.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for financial data review and discrepancy resolution.
- Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite).
- Basic understanding of cost accounting principles, including COGS and inventory valuation methods.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes and their financial impact.
- Experience with fixed asset tracking and depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
