Job Summary
- Provide overall project management from estimating and bid preparation through final acceptance.
- Bachelors degree in construction management (or similar field) or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
- 3+ years of experience estimating in construction.
- Bachelors degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
- 5+ years in construction project management is preferred.
- Familiarity with ACCUBID is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
- Ability to apply effective management techniques to maximize performance.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods; craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety).
- Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and required resources.
- Prepare complete estimates for selected projects, including detailed review of specifications, drawings, take?off information, and contract requirements.
- Supervise total construction effort to ensure project complies with design, codes, standards, budget, and schedule; interface with client representatives, other contractors, and company personnel.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on?site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control).
- Provide day?to?day direction of on?site administrative staff and work with the Foreman to manage project support personnel.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all project documentation, including correspondence, billing, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, and schedules.
- Investigate potential project impacts, mitigate risks, and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure company safety policies and procedures are followed; investigate, report, and correct safety?related incidents.
- Provide technical assistance or interpretation as needed.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate boundaries.
- Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
- Travel, either local or overnight, may be required; position requires driving.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
