Location: Fully Remote (1 monthly office visit required). Office in Denver, CO.
Rate: $60
Duration: Long?term contract through 2027 with potential for FTE conversion if budget allows.
Start Date: January 5th.
Business ObjectiveOur client's Distribution Organization recently spun up a PMO to support their largest capital investment programs over the next 5 years and beyond. This Project Manager will play a key role in supporting Energy Distribution Construction PMO in their Colorado OPCO by ensuring accurate financial tracking, data integrity, and process efficiency. This role directly impacts the success of huge wildfire mitigation and other major distribution initiatives through effective project oversight and vendor spend analysis.
Day?to?Day Responsibilities- Manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP.
- Perform extensive data cleanup and validation to ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards to identify gaps and monitor vendor spend.
- Work primarily in Excel and SAP; assist in transitioning reporting to Power BI.
- Support project tracking and financial oversight (basic understanding of P6 helpful).
- Standard work hours: 7?AM??4?PM; primarily virtual with one in?office visit per month.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in large enterprise or utility environments.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SAP for financial approvals and documentation.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to interpret and clean complex datasets.
- Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization.
- Basic understanding of Primavera P6 for project tracking.
- Experience with government or slow?moving corporate environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- No certifications required; PMP or similar is a plus.
