Our diverse expertise, client base and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.
We are currently seeking a new or recent graduates (with up to two years of experience) with a bachelors degree in civil engineering to fill the role of an entry-level design engineer for our Transportation team. With our office located in South Portland, Maine. You must exhibit a professional attitude, visionary thinking, innovative ideas, analytical problem solving and a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently.
Annual Compensation$67,000-80,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
Entry?Level Design Engineer Essential Functions- Responsible for performing design tasks, engineering analysis, research, documentation of solutions with recommendations and development of construction documents.
- Develop design and perform engineering calculations.
- Conduct site visits/inspections, as needed.
- Assist and collaborate with team members (project engineers, project managers, CAD technicians) as needed for the successful completion of design assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelors in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Micro Station) preferred.
