Salary: $5,797.66 $9,508.25 per month (Plan TEXAS-B-25)

Essential Job Functions- Maintain program policies and prepare state reports; ensure program compliance with state and agency requirements.
- Represent the agency to other HHS divisions, state agencies, and professional groups; keep management informed of issues requiring escalation.
- Assist coordination of program strategic planning and management activities; conduct regular evaluations of program activities and recommend improvements.
- Consult with leadership to resolve problems, identify training needs, and analyze program evaluation and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the Chief Public Affairs Office to compile, track, and respond to legislative, media inquiries, and open record requests.
- Prepare written state reports that include statistical data and explanations of grantee performance outcomes.
- Supervise staff on data collection and analysis; develop action plans and monitor program compliance with state reporting requirements.
- Review grantee curricula and promotional materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to give presentations and write technical program information.
- Ability to interpret policies and develop effective operating procedures.
- Skill in legislative analysis and policy research.
- Knowledge of project management principles and ability to implement new initiatives.
- Knowledge of the Texas legislative process and of agency, state, and federal procurement regulations.
- Independent coordination and analytical abilities.
- Skill in developing and maintaining professional relationships; managing multiple competing priorities.
- Problem?solving and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Capacity to organize and present information concisely and effectively.
- Graduation from an accredited four?year college or university (experience may be substituted on a year?for?year basis).
- Preferred experience in policy development, research, or evaluation of HHSC social service programs.
