Subcontractor Inventory Specialist

Position Summary: The person in this position will be responsible for receiving, logging in, checking out, and maintaining the inventory at an assigned or assigned subcontractor(s) and communicating the data to designated managers and executives. The role will be located out of Chicago, IL with travel to the company's other locations in Cincinnati, OH and Hodgenville, KY, and other subcontractor locations when required.

Pay: $65,000-$75,000 (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Receive and communicate trim and fabric received at an assigned subcontractor, to Kitting management, Accounting, and direct manager.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records at the assigned location for trim and piece goods transfers.
• Communicate shortages and discrepancies to Kitting mgt and others as necessary. Coordinate fulfillment.
• Administer trim to designated persons at the assigned subcontractor. Maintain records accordingly.
• Perform periodic cycle counts in coordination with Accounting Dept as a check on inventories.
• Perform tasks associated with annual or bi-annual inventory processes in coordination with Accounting Dept.
• Report discrepancies in inventories upon discovery to Kitting and Accounting and, when necessary, with discretion.
  

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Fundamental understanding or garment construction, garment?specific trims and fabrics, and ability to read a BOM to determine component usage per garment.
• Basic counting and math skills.
• Understanding, comprehension and application of spreadsheets.
• Ability to comprehend, confirm, and apply specification sheet information as related to job.
  

Qualifications:

• High school or higher education level.
• Experience with building spreadsheet programs, accounting software, email, MSWord, ability to learn proprietary software when required.
• Travel limited to home office and kitting operations in Cincinnati and Hodgenville, KY.

• Positional: May be required to walk or stand for extended periods. Must be able to grasp or manipulate small items for assembly. Lift 10 to 20 pounds periodically.
